Are you an aspiring UAV pilot looking to take the next step? In the old days, it was simply a matter of buying a UAV and you were off to the races, but this is no longer the case!

Anyone wishing to pilot a UAV for commercial purposes - whether operating under the Exemption, or not - is required to complete a Transport Canada registered commercial UAV operators Ground School course.  They can then apply for an drone SFOC from Transport Canada to authorize operations.

Before completing the Ground School Course, you will need to complete an online component based on the Knowledge Requirements set out by Transport Canada.

As daunting as the list may seem, M3 Aerial has created a comprehensive study guide free of charge. If you want to complete the final exam, you will need to pay a fee, but all the material required to meet the knowledge requirements can be found below:
