Advanced RPAS Ground School

Drone Training in Kenora
August 10-11th, 2019

RPAS operations have just been opened wide up in Canada with the implementation of new Transport Canada RPAS regulations, which came into effect on June 1st, 2019. The new Part IX of the Canadian Aviation Regulations has made operations in urban areas much easier to accomplish, allowing many industries to take advantage of the immense benefits that drones can provide for your organization!

Massive improvements to the system have been brought forward, which are allowing for operations near (less than 100ft but not less than 16.4ft) people, and even over (less than 16.4ft) people provided you have the right equipment and an Advanced RPAS Pilot Certificate.

If you operate a drone that weighs more than 250 grams, up to and including 25 kilograms, you are required to register it with Transport Canada, and possess either a Basic Operations or Advanced Operations RPAS Pilot Certificate.

Learn more about the new regulations in a recent blog we just posted, here.
