The "drone" industry in Canada is often seen as being in it's infancy, and it's often referred to as being a "gold rush!"  People are flocking to the industry to take advantage of the rapid growth and steep gains in virtually every commercial industry.

What are drones doing these days?

There are drones that are spraying herbicide on crops.  Drones that are delivering pizza, piping hot!  ...and if you can believe it, there's drones that are delivering people to their next meeting via Drone Taxi's in Dubai.

So because of this rapid growth, Transport Canada has responded by enacting legislation in December 2016, that has made it mandatory for commercial drone pilots to get ground school training.  There were around 5000 UAV Pilot Special Flight Operations Certificates issued in 2016, up 33% annually from 2010; and because of this new legislation it is expected that these numbers will increase significantly, to nearly 8000 in 2017, and much more in the coming years.

So where can you get drone pilot training?

M3 Aerial has answered the call to ensure that anyone entering the drone industry receives the highest standard of training available.  We're based in Winnipeg, but we're connected with Canadians from Coast to Coast to Coast, and offer training in many of Canada's major population centers.  We will have UAV Pilot Ground School courses running in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax in the fall and winter of 2017-2018.

Our instructors are professional educators, with decades of experience in the Canadian Armed Forces and UAV industry.  Please contact us if you are interested in our training services and joining our network of trained UAV operators; or if you're interested in joining our team of expert instructors.
